HOW IS THIS STILL UP BUT DOOM SHAREWARE AINT

I am too obscure to really be given a DMCA, so I assume ID Software either doesn't know or doesn't care.

(+1)

it's actually just doom wtf

(+3)

bro what did you think it was

yeah lol

yeah if you dont have windows xp or less you need a microsoft DOS emulator

So, many are asking how to play the game.

first, extract the contents into a folder second, download a ms dos emulator third, see a tutorial of hpow to use your dos emulator.

oh i am running windows xp with built in dos support i didn't know newer devices needed an emulator thank you

so doom.zip is for windows, but it says my pc cant run it, any ideas?

extract the file first

after extracting the file run the .exe folder

i did extract it, but it said my laptop couldnt run it

Ah, okay. If you wouldn't mind telling me your operating system of Windows? (Windows 11, 10, 8.1, 8, 7, Vista, XP)

i have windows 10

(1 edit)

extract it and run the setup

ok i downloaded doom.zip, how do i make it work? or how do i play?

well, i use gzdoom, because it have an wad archive, so you move in the carpet of gzdoom and play

how do you play the game after downloading it. i see you misunderstood the first guy who asked so i figured i would ask again as a fresh comment

I didn't misunderstand. Which operating system did you download it for? He didn't answer me.

it doesnt really matter. you can easily just tell us what to do after downloading for both of them. if you dont know just say so instead of insulting the guy. idk why its so hard to say
for windows do this:

for linux do this:

considering you didnt give info on how to run either of them in the description you can atleast give it in the comments that ask for it

Alpine Linuxsudo apk add chocolate-doom

Arch Linuxyay -S chocolate-doom

Debian / Ubuntuapt install chocolate-doom

Note that in releases of Debian before v9, you must enable the contrib area to access the package.

Fedoradnf install chocolate-doom

Guix Systemguix install chocolate-doom

Linux Mintsudo apt install chocolate-doom

A "Chocolate Setup" tool accompanies the port and can be used to configure it. The setup tool mimics the appearance of the original Doom setup program.

What did you download it for?

hes asking you how to play the game after downloading it

(+2)(-2)

Noooooo, I thought you got it to play Minecraft. You are probably in school, huh? I meant Windows or Linux.

how did you misinterpret that question?
